AB Tools is the business of Abramo Benedetti, a freelance video editor based in Lucca, Italy. It builds tools for editors: Pulse Edit, Pulse Studio and Pulse Color.
Why these tools exist
They were born from Abramo’s daily work: cutting footage to music, by hand, for clients. The tools automate the parts of that job that are repetitive — finding the beats, placing the cuts, keeping the timeline in order — so the editing time goes into the choices that matter.
What we make
- Pulse Edit — detects the beats in a song and cuts your footage to them, for DaVinci Resolve Free and Studio.
- Pulse Studio — builds the beat-synced edit directly inside DaVinci Resolve Studio through the scripting API.
- Pulse Color — optical filter emulations and film looks in one OFX node for DaVinci Resolve.
